Head Coach Jon Bowman addresses the team after the 4-1 victory on September 25th

The team moved to 5-0 over the weekend after a 4-1 result over Bowling Green State University. Although OSUFC garnered multiple shots on goal and created good chances in the final third, the two sides entered half time level at a 0-0 tie.

However, after a Mike McKune goal shortly into the second half the flood gates opened. OSUFC began to dominate in the final third of the field. Josh McDaniel rose above the defense and smashed a header home at the back post to increase the lead to 2 goals. A few minutes later Stefan Scheele scored from the midfield circle placing it right over the head of the keeper. With about 15 minutes left in the match Scheele recorded his 2nd of the day and 3rd of the season after he beat the keeper. With 10 minutes left, BGSU was able to poke one into the back of the net among chaos in the box after a player sent in a corner.

After our first 5 games OSUFC remains unbeaten with 3 shutouts. The team has also tallied 23 goals for and conceded 2 goals against. McDaniel, McKune, and Scheele are all tied for leading scorers on the team with 3 goals each.
